Yes, I'm still here

My goodness, now it's REALLY been a long time since I posted anything here.  Last March I started writing regularly for Gardening Know How,  a lovely gardening forum, and that has been taking up most of my time.  Also last September I started submitting post on a regular basis to the NewProContainers blog, which is a professional blog for the interior landscape industry.  Gone through a variety of technical upheavals (broken and fried computers,) and personal life changes... going to start funneling more of my time to the development and presentation of THE COLOR OF YOUR THUMB.  Going to start posting more often on this blog.   Going to... going to... well, time will tell.

  2. How are things going? I just checked out the NewProContainers blog and it's great - it's a wealth of house plant resources!

Also, I really love your videos - you cover the foundations very well!

  3. Hi! I just came from a Houzz.com article where you provided a lot of insight on Fiddle Leaf Figs in the comment section. I was hoping to get your help as well. I just got a FLF for my birthday on Saturday. It's 6 feet tall and leans quite a bit. It's in a 16-inch diameter pot and I've heard not to repot in the fall. Any other ideas on how to stand it up straight? Is staking it recommmended and how would I go about doing that without harming the roots? Also, there seems to be a dust on the leaves. Should I wipe them off and if so, what should I use? Thank you for any help! I'm really excited about my new plant and don't want to hurt it :)
